UFC on Fuel TV: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger went down on Wednesday night from the Omaha Civic Center in Omaha, Nebraska, marking the first full-length live event that the UFC has aired on Fuel TV. The event drew 217,000 viewers to the obscure network, which is considerably lower than the numbers that the UFC have pulled in on Spike or FX with live events in the past. That is likely the result of Fuel TV being a network with a much more limited audience, as it isn't carried by many cable providers. Still, the fight card sets the current live event record for Fuel TV, with the previous highs being recorded by UFC preliminary card offerings. UFC on Fuel TV 1 featured a main event between top flight welterweights Jake Ellenberger and Diego Sanchez, which saw Ellenberger take it to Sanchez for two rounds and survive a late onslaught in the third to earn an impressive unanimous decision and Fight of the Night bonus. Considering Sanchez's late surge and the fact that their fight just didn't feel over, the UFC has now decided that all main events -- on Fuel TV or otherwise -- will be scheduled for five rounds.
